At a time when certain groups are rising against early church leaders and current church leaders, questioning their sincerity, validity, and loyalty to the work and the

prophet Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum.

We, descendants of Joseph and Emma Smith in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, would like to declare our position as extended cousins to the descendants of these brave and loyal souls.

 

We as a family uphold and love your ancestors. We are eternally grateful for their sacrifice, their willingness, and their selfless devotion during the time of the Restoration.

 

The fact that they stood by our ancestor's side in times of joy and times of terror and sorrow, speaks volumes of who they were and the magnitude of their faith in the fullness of the gospel.

Every prophet of the church since Joseph was called of God and the authority goes through them. As your ancestors did not turn against Joseph, our family will stand by you, one in heart, one in faith. Let us work together and support one another as a family in this last dispensation, just as our ancestors did long ago.
